Ghanaian gospel artist, Queendalyn Yurglee, commonly known as Queen Darlene has opened up about her musical journey, recent triumphs, and the spiritual experiences that continue to influence her ministry.

In an interview with the GTV breakfast show, Queendalyn disclosed that she recently visited South Africa and received the Klima Award for Most Promising Artist in Africa.

She clarified that she did not anticipate being a part of the awards when she first learned about them last year after seeing a haphazard poster on social media.

Later, she received a message confirming she had been nominated for two categories.

“I just reposted the flyer and went on with my work,” she asserted.

Coincidentally, she had a ministration in Pretoria on the same weekend as the awards ceremony in Johannesburg.

Her staff contacted the organizers, and she attended the event following her ministration.

Queendalyn described winning the honor as a humbling experience.

“Sitting there with people from all over Africa, it reminded me of the promises God made to me as a child. I try to stay grounded and focused on God’s work. Everything else is a blessing added to it.”

Queendalyn also discussed her future album, Clouds of Glory, which has yet to be released. Four tracks from the project have already been released and are gaining tremendous support from churches and gospel music fans.

One of the highlight tracks, Omewoya, features Nigerian gospel artist Judikay. She clarified that God was in charge of the partnership.

“While preparing the album, I heard the Holy Spirit say ‘Judikay’. She remarked, “I didn’t even know her personally.”

Queendalyn clarified that while an attempt to meet Judikay’s previous record label in Lagos was unsuccessful, a year later, a friend requested her to assist in setting up lodging for a couple visiting Ghana, who turned out to be Judikay and her husband.

She claims that after praying about it, she finally reached out and Judikay agreed to work together.

“She told me God said she should work with me personally,no managers and no team. She even paused her own project to do this,” Queendalyn revealed.

Queendalyn stated that Judikay was flown into Ghana surreptitiously, and the two recorded the song and its video in a single day.

Fans were pleased when the song was published, with many surprised that the Nigerian artist had gone to Ghana for the collaboration.

She stated the arrangement has also helped her streaming numbers, especially in Nigeria.

“Beyond the music, we now have a beautiful, godly sisterly relationship. And yes, the numbers are working,” she added.

The motivation behind Aiyiyi, a thanksgiving song on the album. She claims that it is also a contemplative work that shows profound appreciation to God for His kindness.
