Director of Special Operations Richard Jakpa of the National Security Secretariat has petitioned the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to look into the “fabrication of evidence” that former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Godfred Yeboah Dame committed while serving as A-G.
Richard Jakpa claims that Mr. Godfred Dame, the Attorney-General at the time, tried to get him [Jakpa] to testify in a certain way “so as to dishonestly, wickedly, and without an iota of conscience implicate Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and to also lie to the court by procuring a false excuse duty which constitutes a crime (Fabrication of evidence)” in the case of causing financial loss to the state in the ambulance procurement case that was before the High Court in Accra.
As a result, he requests that Godfred Dame be looked into by the CID and “be made to face the full consequences if found to be culpable.”
In a plea to the Director of CID dated September 23, 2025, he presented the accusation.
