Former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo, daughter of the late Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has publicly recognised her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, as the leader of the Kantanka Family and Kristo Asafo Church.

In a statement following the death of their father, Sarah Adwoa Safo said she had chosen the path of reconciliation and was ready to put past disagreements and misunderstandings behind the family.

She said the time had come for the Kantanka family to move beyond the differences and grievances that emerged after the passing of the renowned industrialist and religious leader.

“The time has come for us, as a family, to transcend whatever differences, misunderstandings or grievances that may have characterised the immediate aftermath of the demise of our dear dad and consign them to history,” she said.

Sarah Adwoa Safo Calls for Family Reconciliation

The former MP said her decision was based on love, mutual respect and the strong family bond shared by the children of Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

“I have chosen the path of conciliation, founded upon love, mutual respect and the enduring undisputed bonds of family,” she added.

Sarah Adwoa Safo also expressed her deep respect for Israel Kwadwo Safo and formally acknowledged him as the leader of the Kantanka Family and Kristo Asafo Church.

She pledged her support and willingness to work with her brother to protect the family’s interests and continue the vision established by their late father.

“He has my full support, and I state unequivocally, that I am prepared and willing to work together with him in the interest of the family and the Church, in furtherance of our father’s Vision and Legacy,” she stated.

Kantanka Legacy Belongs to the Entire Family

According to Sarah Adwoa Safo, the legacy of Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka cannot be attributed to one person because it represents a collective inheritance for all his children.

She stressed that the family has a shared responsibility to preserve the values, achievements and ideals established by their father.

“Our father’s legacy transcends any one individual. It is a collective inheritance and a profound responsibility entrusted to us, as his children and it is a charge we must keep and hold on to, dearly,” she said.

She urged her siblings to put their differences aside, protect what their father built and ensure that his vision continues to influence future generations.

Call for Unity in Kristo Asafo Church

Sarah Adwoa Safo further appealed to members of the Kristo Asafo Church, the wider Kantanka family and individuals connected to her late father’s work to respect the unity of the family.

She described the development as an opportunity for a new beginning built around reconciliation, brotherhood and a common purpose.

“Let us embrace this new chapter with reconciliation, fraternity and a shared sense of purpose,” she said.

She concluded by extending her goodwill and best wishes to Israel Kwadwo Safo and her other siblings.

Sarah Adwoa Safo expressed hope that the new chapter would bring healing, unity and renewed strength to the Kantanka family as they work together to preserve the legacy of Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

The development marks a significant moment for the Kantanka Family and Kristo Asafo Church, with calls for unity and reconciliation now taking centre stage as the family seeks to continue the work and vision of its late founder.
