Sarkodie, King Promise, and other well-known Ghanaian performers will be the main attractions for Ghanaian fans at the Games.
The cooperation attaché of the French embassy, Marine Hayem, has stated that Sarkodie, actual name Michael Owusu Addo, and Gregory Bortey Newman, commonly known as King Promise, will light up the Ghana Stand at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Hayem made the announcement at a press conference that the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) hosted on Monday, July 8, to give the media information on Team Ghana’s preparations.
Sarkodie, King Promise, and other well-known Ghanaian musicians will be the main attractions for sports enthusiasts at the Paris Games.
A delegation of nine athletes from Ghana will participate in swimming and athletics.
These include men’s 100- and 200-meter sprinter Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, men’s 100-meter sprinter Benjamin Azamati, women’s high jumper Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah, men’s 100-meter freestyle sprinter Harry Stacey, women’s 50-meter freestyle sprinter Joselle Mensah, and the formidable men’s 4×100-meter relay team from Ghana, which consists of Benjamin Azamati, Isaac Botsio, Joseph Paul Amoah, Fuseini Ibrahim, and Edwin Gadayi.
