Citi News has report that Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, the Kwahuhene, was taken into custody after the Queen Mother, Nana Adwoa Gyemfua, was detained during a morning raid on Kwahu Palace.
On Monday morning, November 17, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III reportedly travelled to Kwahu to personally inspect the situation after learning about the palace raid and the suspected kidnapping of the Queen Mother while he was in Accra. He was taken into prison as soon as they arrived.
According to sources, the contested Chief, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, was with the uniformed officers who made the arrest.
According to the Nkawkaw and Kwahu Divisional Police Commands, they were unaware of the operation.
After confirming the event, the National Security Agency sent teams to the scene to conduct an investigation and assist in bringing peace back to the neighbourhood.
