Ghana’s friendly encounter against South Korea at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Tuesday ended in a close defeat. Lee Tae-Seok scored the only goal in the 63rd minute with help from Lee Kang-In of Paris Saint-Germain.

Benjamin Asare returned to the post after missing Friday’s Kirin Challenge Cup match against Japan, and coach Otto Addo fielded a young team. Prince Kwabena Adu of the Black Stars scored a fantastic goal, but it was disallowed due to offside.

Alidu Seidu, Christopher Bonsu Baah, and Kamal Deen Sulemana all performed brilliantly during the game, contributing to the team’s outstanding performance.

Prince Kwabena Adu led the lines with enthusiasm, and Kwasi Sibo gave a superb performance.

Caleb Yirenkyi moved to midfield to play alongside Kwasi Sibo and Prince Owusu, while Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Kojo Peprah Oppong, and Jonas Adjetey began in defence.

As Ghana hunted the equaliser, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Prince Osei Owusu replaced Prince Owusu and Prince Adu Kwabena, but the South Koreans prevailed.

In preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America, the Black Stars plan to reassemble in March of the following year for additional international friendlies.
