The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region has ordered all the party’s constituency chairmen to remove posters featuring former flag bearer Alan Kyerematen from the party premises.
This comes after Mr. Kyerematen resigned from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a communication sent to all regional chairmen, signed by regional chairperson Bernard Antwi Bosiako, dated Monday, September 25, 2023, the PNP Ashanti region, following Mr. Kyerematen’s resignation from the party, declared that “all their posters, banners, leaflets and paraphernalia in our party offices in all constituencies must be removed immediately.
He added:
“Once he surrendered his membership, it was only right and fair to remove these items from our offices.”
The NPP’s leadership has also declared that it will formally address its supporters and members on the resignation from the party of former flagbearer candidate Alan Kyerematen at 2:00 PM today.
