The Auditor-General’s appointment has been extended by President Akufo-Addo for a another two years.

Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu, the Auditor-General, has been appointed for an extra two years by President Akufo-Addo.

A message dated July 19 from the Audit Service informed all staff members of this extension.

The announcement stated that Mr. Asiedu’s statutory retirement was initially scheduled for August 1, 2024.

The Audit Service expressed its gratitude to the Auditor General for extending his tenure.
