The passport application fee has been lowered from GH₵500 to GH₵350, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This new charge is a 30% reduction.
On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the new pricing schedule will take effect.
On Sunday, November 9, 2025, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa made an announcement.
In keeping with government initiatives to lower the cost of necessary services, the action is intended to make passport acquisition more accessible to Ghanaians.
All new passport applications are subject to the updated fee, and those who are renewing their current passports will also profit from the discount.
