The founder and head of the Ghanaian Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Emeritus Professor Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has emphasized the necessity for Ghanaians to adopt natural foods.

He claimed that some Ghanaians were dying young due to their complete contempt for the natural foods and plants that God, the Almighty, had provided for them after creation.

At Gyinyase in the Asokwa Municipality, he preached on the Sabbath to members of the Mission in the Ashanti area, claiming that Ghanaians’ disregard for the environment was to blame for the nation’s socioeconomic troubles at the moment.

“The rich and fruitful land that God entrusted to our ancestors was not destroyed by dangerous poisons like weedicides.

As a result, when they burned the weeds on the land, plants like pepper (mmesua), mushrooms (nkankom), pawpaw, cocoyam, and cassava, among others, began to sprout.

To enhance what nature had already provided, they also planted natural food sources.

They lived long, healthy lives thanks to the natural and organic foods they ate.

By using dangerous chemicals like weedicide, we have today ruined the rich and fertile land that God gifted to us.

It is now very difficult for a farmer to witness the propagation of pepper (mmesua), pawpaw, mushroom, cocoyam, etc. from the field due to the destruction of the land by these hazardous weedicides.

We also spray dangerous pesticide on the organic veggies God gave us, destroying them.

Our careless attitudes have destroyed all of the abundant nutrients and minerals the body needs to thrive healthily from natural veggies, he underlined.

Apostle Safo made the observation that Ghanaians, particularly Christians, continually blame God for their suffering after doing all these acts of environmental deterioration.

He questioned, “Why do Christians blame God for their sufferings?

He emphasized that although God did not make man to suffer, man had caused the misery he was currently experiencing.

Please consider how our actions and inactions have ruined the rivers and the fish that inhabit them.

Why do you attribute the responsibility to witches and wizards if you claim to be a Christian and display such a pessimistic attitude? he questioned.

Apostle Safo claimed that if Ghanaians put an end to these evil deeds, prayed to God, and begged for His forgiveness, God would cure the sick land and restore it to its former fertile and abundant state.

In a related development, Apostle Safo Kantanka, the Star of Africa, urged young people to cease smoking marijuana and shisha because it tends to harm their bodies.

He remarked that in order to lead a successful life, young people need aspire to hard work and respect.
