In preparation for their matchup against South Korea on Monday at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Black Stars coach Otto Addo believes his team is giving it their all.

Before the pivotal Group H encounter against the Asians at the world’s premier football competition, the Ghanaian coach was speaking at a press conference.

The Black Stars lost to Portugal 3-2 in their initial group match on Thursday, so they now need to win to maintain their chances of moving on.

Since then, Ghana has resumed training, and coach Addo is pleased with how his team is approaching their Monday match against the Koreans.

“We’ll see a team that is incredibly passionate. At the news conference in Doha on Sunday, coach Addo predicted that the team would play with the same fervor as in their previous match against Portugal.

“Training is excellent, which makes it difficult for me to make decisions. This is excellent, and I’m confident my guys will recognize it.

“I am pleased to have a team that is eager to learn and put in a lot of effort every day to improve. Although we have great respect for South Korea, we are confident that we can outperform them.

After South Korea held Uruguay to a scoreless draw in the group encounter on Thursday, Ghana is at the bottom of the standings with no points.

Due to their victory over the Black Stars, Portugal, which leads the group with three points, will play Uruguay in the other group game on Monday.

At 1300 GMT, Ghana will face 28th-ranked South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, west of Doha.
