Antoine Semenyo was seen limping late in Ghana’s World Cup group stage loss to Croatia, but Carlos Queiroz has allayed concerns about his injury.

The Black Stars lost 2-1 in Philadelphia, falling to third place in Group L after goals from Nikola Vlasic and Petar Sucic offset an equaliser from Derrick Luckassen.

However, Semenyo’s defeat in the Croatia box near the end of the match raised concerns.

After receiving medical attention, he exited the pitch but eventually played the entire ninety minutes.

But Queiroz quickly allayed any concerns when he spoke at the end of play, stating that the player had not sustained a serious injury.

He assured reporters, “No, it’s just a knock; he will be alright.”

Semenyo seems to be available for the round of 32.

After analysing the outcome, Queiroz stated that it was only a matter of one team making less errors than the other.

“Croatia scored two goals, two easy goals. Much too easy, the way they scored. When you score one more goal than the opponent, you have the merit to win the game.”

“Simple like that. It means we make one more mistake than the opponent, and when you make one more mistake than the opponent, that is it,” he went on.
