49 Nigerian nationals, ranging in age from 18 to 34, have been detained by the Ghana Police Service and the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) together.
They were taken into custody on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in Accra. There were two women and 47 men among the suspects.
The security agencies obtained information on their operations, leading to their arrest.
According to an announcement made by EOCO on May 24: “The said individuals were suspected to have been involved in human trafficking and cybercrime-related activities.”
