Ghana and Spain have a solid and long-standing connection, according to Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.

He underlined during his remarks at the commemoration of Spain’s National Day that the two countries’ friendship is based on respect for one another, shared ideals, and a shared vision of a world that is peaceful and prosperous.

Ghana is grateful for Spain’s assistance in important sectors including gender equality, water treatment, food security, and renewable energy, Minister George said.

He also emphasised how crucial it is for Spain and Ghana to work together on security matters, especially in the Sahel and Gulf of Guinea.

Citing prospects for commerce, business, and cultural exchange, the Minister underlined the necessity of Ghana and Spain’s ongoing collaboration.

In addition, he underlined Ghana’s adherence to humanitarian ideals, international law, and multilateralism and said he supported Spain’s initiatives to advance justice and peace around the world.
