Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) envoys assigned to Ghana were received by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) yesterday, Monday, April 13, 2026, to discuss changing regional and international trends.

His Excellency Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dakhel represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Murad Suliaman Mohammed Al-Mandoos represented the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Khalid Bin Jabor Saif Jasser Al-Mesallam represented the State of Qatar, and Husain Alebrahim represented the State of Kuwait.

The Minister reaffirmed Ghana’s core foreign policy positions on upholding a rule-based order and respecting sovereign and territorial integrity.

The GCC envoys highlighted the need for peace while acknowledging their bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Ghana.

They described the events in the Middle East and the humanitarian difficulties that accompanied them, and they emphasised the necessity for diplomacy to find a peaceful solution.
