The Burma Camp Redevelopment Project, a five-year megaproject to construct roughly 2000 housing units for men and women of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), was launched by Minister of Works and Housing Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei on behalf of Acting Defence Minister Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson.
Through a strategic relationship with the private sector, the project’s first phase is anticipated to create 250 contemporary dwelling units in 13 months.
The sector minister stated that the government would support the project with 50 two-bedroom housing units as part of the larger plan.
The minister praised the generosity of donors and urged all stakeholders to join forces and help the creation of modern barracks infrastructure, better welfare, and suitable housing for GAF men and women who serve our country.
