Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Minister of the Interior, has put utility vehicles into service for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) with the goal of boosting the Service’s operational effectiveness nationwide, strengthening mobility, and improving emergency response.
Two Toyota Hiace minibuses, four Nissan Navara pick-ups, one Toyota Camry saloon vehicle purchased by the government for the service, and a Honda motorcycle donated to the GNFS were among the commissioned logistics.
The Minister claims that the commissioning shows the government’s dedication to enhancing the Fire Service’s operational capability in carrying out its job to safeguard people, property, and vital national infrastructure.

“These vehicles being commissioned today will support operational duties, improve mobility, and enhance emergency response capabilities of the Service,” Hon. Muntaka stated.
As part of larger initiatives to create a competent and responsive emergency service, Hon. Muntaka reiterated the government’s dedication to enhancing logistics and welfare within the Service.
He went on to say that procedures for acquiring 100 fire trucks and other rescue tools to assist with fire operations around the country are extremely sophisticated.

In addition to praising the Service’s leadership and staff for their commitment and selflessness, the Minister urged them to make sure the vehicles are properly maintained and utilised for the benefit of Ghanaians.
Chief Fire Officer Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sapong thanked the government for its ongoing support and reiterated the service’s dedication to effectiveness, professionalism, and the responsible usage and upkeep of the vehicles.
