The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned power outage in parts of the Central Region as part of scheduled maintenance works aimed at improving electricity supply and service reliability.
According to ECG, the planned maintenance exercise will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this period, customers in the affected communities may experience a temporary interruption in electricity supply.
Areas Affected by ECG Planned Maintenance
The scheduled power outage will affect the following areas:
- Moree Junction
- Moree Township
- Amosima
- Akonoma
- Eguase
- Surrounding communities
ECG said the maintenance works are necessary to enhance power supply reliability and electricity service delivery in the affected areas.
Residents and businesses in the listed communities are therefore advised to make the necessary preparations ahead of the temporary power interruption.
The Electricity Company of Ghana has apologised for the inconvenience the planned maintenance and temporary power outage may cause and thanked customers for their understanding and cooperation.
