President John Dramani Mahama was greeted ceremoniously today at the Belarusian Presidential Palace, where he conducted bilateral consultations with President Alexander Lukashenko as part of his State Visit to the Republic of Belarus.

The meetings concluded in the signing of three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen Ghana-Belarus collaboration in important areas of mutual interest.

The agreements include the formation of a Joint Commission for Trade and Economic Affairs, increased engagement between the two countries’ Chambers of Commerce, and agricultural cooperation.

Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa; Ghana’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mr. Jehu Appiah; and Minister of Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, signed the Memorandums of Understanding.

The agreements demonstrate Ghana and Belarus’s mutual commitment to strengthen bilateral connections, increase economic prospects, and promote collaboration in areas that promote sustainable growth and development.
