Thomas Partey, a midfielder for the Black Stars, says he is prepared to play against England despite missing Ghana’s first World Cup group encounter against Panama.
Partey’s visa application was denied, hence he was unable to attend Ghana’s 1-0 triumph over Panama in Canada. He has since joined the squad, though, ahead of the Group L match against England in Boston.
The 33-year-old stated prior to the game that he is totally fit and ready to assist Ghana in winning again.I feel OK now.
Partey declared, “For me, now I feel okay. I’m ready to play.”
The midfielder stated that the team is excited for the battle against England and is in a good mood after defeating Panama.
Partey also talked about how excited he was to play against players he knew from his time in the Premier League, such as England’s Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka.
“I’m really happy to see them again. I hope they are going to bring their best and give us the opportunity to compete and enjoy the game,” he remarked.
He went on to say that he is very excited about the midfield conflict with Rice.
“I know it’s not going to be easy. They have very good players and I am happy to play against them,” Partey said.
Ghana will play England in a game that could decide Group L’s best team.
