A two-day working tour of the Central Region is scheduled to start this morning for President John Dramani Mahama.
The goal of the #ResettingGhana program is to allow the President to interact directly with the people by travelling to the provinces from his office in Accra.
The President’s activities will start at Assin Bereku in the Assin North District, where he will speak to a durbar of chiefs and the populace and lay the groundwork for his administration’s centrepiece project, a new “24-hour economy market.”
President Mahama will review a number of important infrastructure projects, including four current road projects in the area, with the help of important sector ministries and government appointees.
The President will open a CHPS complex and provide free primary health care kits in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District, demonstrating the government’s dedication to providing its citizens with affordable healthcare.
Additionally, President Mahama will visit the Cape Coast Castle, where he will support initiatives to increase the number of domestic and foreign visitors to the Central Region and promote cultural tourism.
A Citizens Engagement town hall at Apam Junction will mark the tour’s conclusion.
The President can report on projects to promote investment, growth, and job creation in the area through this forum, which acts as an accountability platform.
Additionally, it gives locals a crucial chance to speak with the President directly about their most urgent issues.
