Call for Responsible Mining in Ghana

In his address, the GoldBod CEO advocated for a mining sector that prioritises responsible and sustainable mining practices while creating greater opportunities for Ghanaians to participate in the industry.

He also stressed the importance of value addition, arguing that Ghana must move beyond the traditional export of raw minerals and explore ways to generate more economic benefits from its natural resources.

More Opportunities for Ghanaian Youth and Mining Communities

Sammy Gyamfi further highlighted the need to create employment and business opportunities for young people within Ghana’s mining sector.

He also called for greater transformation of mining communities, ensuring that communities located in mineral-rich areas benefit directly from mining activities through improved infrastructure, economic opportunities and sustainable development.
