NLC orders teacher unions on strike to end their strike.

Three teacher unions that are on strike have been told by the National Labour Commission (NLC) to end their walkout right away.

According to NLC, the teacher unions’ strike actions did not adhere to the proper protocol.

The panel issued the order after a hearing on Wednesday with officials of the teaching unions and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations.

As a result, the commission has asked them to come back on November 16 to continue discussing their demands.

Since November 4, the teacher unions have been on strike in opposition to the new GES Director’s nomination.
