The Ministry of Education has taken note of the concerns expressed by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) at a recent news conference.
To ensure an informed conclusion on UTAG’s concerns, the Honourable Minister for Education has appointed a three-member committee to study the charges and related matters and make suitable recommendations to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama.
The committee is chaired by Honourable Clement Apaak, Deputy Minister for Education, and includes Professor George K.T Oduro, Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Education, and Professor Mahama Duweijua, Board Chairman of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
The Ministry wishes to appeal to all parties involved to fully cooperate with the committee as it pursues this crucial task.
We remain dedicated to constructive communication and the resolution of all outstanding concerns in the best interests of Ghana’s tertiary education sector.
