The Ghana Football Association’s Kurt Okraku has been re-elected as its president.

Kurt Okraku has been re-elected to serve another four years as president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The 52-year-old had no competition for the job since the Election Committee rejected candidate George Afriyie, and the Appeals Committee supported that judgment.

117 of the 120 delegates that attended the Elective Congress in Tamale voted in Kurt’s favor. One delegate abstained, while two delegates cast ballots against the current president.

After Kwesi Nyantakyi was removed from office following an Anas Aremeyaw Anas exposé for alleged corruption, Kurt was first elected president of the Association in October 2019. He replaced the Normalisation Committee at that time.
