“To deny the self, to deny the truth, to become all that is foul and wrong to me.

To do so, I simply call my fault wrong.

To do so, I simply shy from all of my right.

To myself, I am then death.

To myself, I shall then call it life.

Thus to the world, I am tragedy incarnate, and that which tragedy itself finds repulsive to call victim” (JOC). With campaign pledges of toilets and mortuaries, cum the rather abysmal governance playing out in the country today, with a potential to revert back to that which was emphatically rejected in 2016 as bad for the country, Ghana today seems like tragedy incarnate.

There is an opportunity for the country to change course for the better, and we must do so proactively and with urgency.

Ghana needs a leader with the requisite background, exposure, grit, courage and passion to deliver on a change agenda and help transform the country. Of the 3 potential candidates for president, ONLY Hon. Kennedy Agyapong exemplifies those values and traits, and is deserving of a chance to lead Ghana.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong MUST win the NPP primaries if the NPP party harbors any ambitions of winning 2024. If delegates do the needful and select Kennedy Agyapong, the NPP will go on to win the 2024 elections and more importantly; usher Ghana into a new era of hope and transformation. Hon Kennedy Agyapong will evolve our civilization as a nation.

THE NPP MUST BE PRAGMATIC AND GAIN VICTORY.

NPP delegates have a solemn and awesome responsibility to save Ghana. There is a fierce urgency of “NOW” for action, and the urgent work is now in the hands of NPP delegates. Choose wisely.

The system is rotten to the core, and the citizenry are fed up. Nothing seems to be working, and in many cases things are getting worse. As in 2020, the citizens are demanding change, except the wind of change blowing today is much stronger than it was in 2020, and that complicates the NPP’s chances for winning in 2024.

NDC has decided on a flag bearer. The NDC concluded they will present for the 4th time; the twice rejected, one term president, who was fired by Ghanaians resoundingly for bad governance, corruption, incompetence, nepotism and worse. The NDC flag bearer does not inspire hope for a better Ghana. His era was fraught with much of what Ghanaians want to change today.  As partisans, NPP delegates have an opportunity and a duty to HARNESS THE STRONG WIND OF CHANGE BLOWING IN GHANA PURPOSEFULLY AND VOTE MASSIVELY FOR CHANGE! It is your only hope for victory in 2024, and you must not lose sight of that. NPP delegates must see their vote for flag bearer as the most important first step to winning 2024, and must get it right.

Bawumia is NPP’s Mahama. He is bereft of ideas, and has failed as the leader of Ghana’s economic team and Vice President. You must not promote nor reward failure. Like the NDC flag bearer, Ghanaians have decided on Bawumia as simply a vexation. The mere mention of Bawumia’s name gives many of the citizenry palpitations. They see him as an embodiment of everything wrong with the nation. In 2016, the nation reposed much hope in the Bawumia and Akuffo Addo government, due to the fantastical pronouncements of Bawumia on the economy. Given his background as an economist and banker, he was supposed to be an economic messiah. Instead, the nation has witnessed terrible economic times and worse. Bawumia has had to walk back a lot of what he said, and Ghanaians wont forgive him for flip flopping on his famous “when the fundamentals are weak, the exchange rate will expose you” and much more. He is seen as lacking integrity and thus can’t be trusted. To present him for 2024, will crush the spirit of the nation, deny Ghana any chance for change, and guarantee Ghana will end up with one of 2 bad options and continue stewing in corruption and worse. The options will be a return ticket to an era Ghanaians concluded was terrible and want to forget about, or a continuation of the mess we find ourselves in today.

As delegates, you are also citizens living in Ghana, and you know without a doubt; the country is demanding change from Bawumia’s government. You owe it to your party and country to deliver a more hopeful and inspiring candidate. Honorable Kennedy Agyapong represents that hope and change.

A doer who is visionary and aspires greatness for party and country. He does not simply want to break the 8, he also seeks to change the nation fundamentally and that is what the electorate is demanding. His sincerity and brutal honesty has earned him a special place in the hearts of the Ghanaian youth. The youth, women, men, elderly, business leaders and the electorate are demanding him on the 2024 ballot. You must deliver and make it happen. They see Kennedy Agyapong as the ONLY option that embodies true and meaningful change among the 3 candidates, and they are right. They will register and turn out in droves to vote for him and the NPP in 2024 if Kennedy Agyapong is on the ballot.

Why risk the youth vote and present Bawumia? Why invite voter apathy by presenting Bawumia? Why deny yourselves a chance at victory, by doing exactly what the NDC has done and present the very person  Ghanaians say they DO NOT WANT? Why deny Ghana hope? I implore you seize the opportunity purposefully and win for your party and country. Vote Kennedy Agyapong for flag bearer and win 2024.

As party delegates, your mission for being is to help your party win elections, and you “have to gain the victory” (Winston Churchill), for victory is neither a birthright nor will it be served on a silver platter. Delegates must rise for change, you owe it to yourselves and country. The NPP primaries has the unique opportunity to deliver the change Ghana demands, by voting for Hon. Kennedy Agyepong. This is a most important vote, and must be cast purposefully. NPP can only gain victory by heeding the electorates demand for change, and presenting a change candidate; Honorable Kennedy Agyapong.

DO NOT BE LIKE THE NDC!

NPP delegates must listen to the electorate. The yardstick for listening is the economic data and the noise on the ground. Don’t be like the NDC, listen to the electorate and win 2024. Against all cautions, when the NDC had the opportunity to boldly embrace the challenge of presenting real and meaningful change so the nation can partner them with a chance of winning back power, they simply decided to return the same corrupt, and inept leadership the country rejected with emphasis in 2016. A vote for Bawumia will be an arrogant affirmation of a desire to continue the current horrible state of affairs, and Ghanaians will punish you for it. Don’t do it.

NDC’s primary reason for selecting their flag bearer was not because he proffered a new vision of hope for a second coming, but rather  “he’s the one with the money!” There was no debate on ideas, no expression of readiness to sacrifice for the greater good of the nation, there was nothing impressive about the process.  All advice including the coveted EIU report that emphasized changing the NDC flag bearer for a better chance at victory was thrown to the dogs and the NDC party insisted on imposing the very failed leader Ghanaians rejected with emphasis as a sitting president.

Ghanaians today have concluded Mahamudu Bawumia’s government has failed Ghanaians and must be changed, and you have the unique opportunity to do that by voting for the only change candidate on the ballot; Hon Kennedy Agyapong. As delegates, you must heed their call and empower the electorate to partner you for victory in 2024 by reflecting change. It starts with your primaries.

Deliberate, purposeful thinking must guide your vote. You must put party and country above money. Listen to the electorate and vote Kennedy Agyapong for flag bearer. It is the best path to NPP winning 2024.

Ghana’s electorate told NDC emphatically they did not like Mahama but NDC insisted he is the money man and all they got! DO NOT simply follow the money. Listen to the grounds, take the pulse of the nation, and you will conclude definitively; the change energy, the strong wind of change blowing in the country today is calling for Kennedy Agyapong’s leadership. Embrace it, and allow it bouy your party to victory in 2024 and more importantly; give Ghanaians renewed hope for a better country and civilization.

A big part of Kennedy Agyepong’s appeal to the masses is his background. They see him as one of them. He understands their issues because he has been there. He has endured their struggles and prevailed. He does not shy from his roots and humble beginnings and that is admirable. They admire his business and political success as something to aspire. He does NOT come from an elitist and privileged background of entitlement, bereft of empathy for the the ordinary person.

Bawumia is a product of an elitist culture of entitlement. He is perceived as lacking empathy. Like the Zongo mortuary pledge, Bawumia’s promises of toilets are a turn off, and present him as visionless. Ghanaians don’t want any of it. Do not be like the NDC, don’t present what Ghanaians are eager to reject. Ghanaians are ready to ditch Bawumia yesterday. They don’t want him, they want Kennedy Agyapong on the ballot in 2024. He presents a voice for the voiceless and the masses see in him; hope. Consistently Kennedy Agyapong has been a defender of the vulnerable in society and the youth and teeming masses appreciate that. They trust him.

With so many scandals, the IMF mess, the terrible state of the economy and much worse, the Bawumia and Akuffo Addo government is seen as inept, corrupt, and notoriously running a failed friends and family government. A charge successfully leveled against the previous government leading up to the 2016 elections. How can NPP gain victory by sending Bawumia, drenched in the sewer of friends and family governance, to prosecute a charge of nepotism in the 2024 campaign? Mahama couldn’t make a case of nepotism, corruption or incompetence against the current administration in 2020 because his own record is terrible. Presenting Bawumia will make it incredibly difficult if not impossible for the NPP to discuss issues of corruption and bad governance against anyone, because like Mahama, his record is too fresh on peoples mind. He is simply not credible and the Ghanaian electorate will lose any hope for a better Ghana. This will engender voter apathy, a very dangerous dynamic for an incumbent party. Bawumia’s administration is every bit what Ghanaians saw in Mahama’s government and they don’t want it. Ghana is in dire need of good, strong, selfless and purposeful leadership to lead our nation and help evolve our civilization. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is our only hope, and fits the bill.

Ghana is looking up to Kennedy Agyapong to champion a mindset transformation revolution with urgency. They trust his passion as sincere and will support his campaign. The era of recycling incompetent leadership and selfish crooks must end. If we think this rotten culture has no consequence and is sustainable simply because either party can insult and expose the other in opposition and vice versa, we got another thing coming. Our beloved country is sitting on a time bomb and these corrupt acts by our leaders only adds dynamite to that bomb. The impending implosion will have no partisan colors. We must prevent that, and Kennedy Agyapong will champion the change purposefully.

Enough is enough!

Good people must start demanding better. Your lives, and your children’s lives can improve if we demand accountability. If we can see beyond party colors as a nation, and simply demand a better civilization for ALL Ghanaians, we can begin a process of building a more sustainable system of development in a consistent and measurable way.  We can truly make Ghana a livable nation, with a thriving citizenry.

When thieves and crooks masquerade as success stories at the expense of the electorate. When unaccomplished tricksters roam the halls of power, with no vision nor ability to contribute to debate but rather look for opportunities to hijack the system and steal, then we can only expect this vicious cycle of replacing thieves with armed robbers, and crooks with fraudsters to continue.

Our political culture is a mess, and we can and must change it. It is time for our politics to reflect country above party. Listen to the voice of the nation. Talk to your friends, family and associates, and you will get to know it is time to stand up for Ghana and vote for change in the NPP primaries. Vote Honorable Kennedy Agyepong as NPP flag bearer on November 4th and Ghana will thank you and reward you for it, with a resounding one touch victory in 2024. As delegates, I urge you to put Ghana first and vote massively for Kennedy Agyepong. Put Ghana first and win.

To all my fellow Ghanaian citizens; it is time for real change. We can change things. As sure as history rhymes eerily (Mark Twain) the alternative is evident in history. No country or civilization has ever survived the trajectory we are on. The people’s power, the people’s voice always erupt in a very violent implosion and we are not safe nor an exception. From the French Revolution, to the American Revolution, the uprisings in Europe, to the Arab spring, the recent unrests on our continent and in our sub-region, and our own country’s history, we must learn and know that we as a country are heading in the wrong direction. The corruption, the nepotism, the greed is too much and not sustainable.

We can’t afford a violent takeover, but a conscious effort to unite and prevent an implosion. We must think Ghana first. We can deliver a much better Ghana to our children and future generations, but we can’t do so in silence. We can’t sit out this one and remain on the sidelines waiting for bullets to come and transform Ghana. That will be disastrous, yet, most citizens will agree a military intervention today will get support from the masses. We have a duty to prevent that, and we can only do so by getting involved. Every citizen owes it a duty to the nation to talk to any voting NPP delegate and encourage them to vote wisely and choose Kennedy Agyepong. It is an important conversation. The NPP must get it right or else.

When our leaders steal from the system to buy properties in the UK, USA, Canada, Dubai, South Africa and God knows where else, we must not reward them simply by recycling them back to power and be glad “our thief” is in power and not the other party’s thief! The citizenry must arise and demand better. The NPP primaries is an important activity and an opportunity for Ghana to turn the corner in hope. We need EVERYONE to help fix Ghana irrespective of party.

Ultimately, we must tap the best of the country to help achieve the goal of developing our nation and elevating our civilization, IRRESPECTIVE OF PARTY. Talk to NPP delegates you know, and advocate for Ghana. A vote for Hon Kennedy Agyapong is a vote for Ghana.

Kennedy Agyepong desire transformational change for Ghana. That desire is rooted in a vision of hope. Our nation is yet to tap its potential for greatness, and there’s a fierce urgency for action in the right direction. Realizing that vision starts with the firm and unshaken belief, that we have it in us to develop and change Ghana from third world to first within a generation. Consider this a clarion call to rise up for Ghana.

IT IS TIME TO ACT!

That vision of a greater civilization, cannot be achieved in a political culture endemic with corruption, and mediocrity. The political class cannot be entrusted with advancing the nation’s interest. Politics in Ghana has degenerated into self preservation, and the politician is solely interested in power for self enrichment and preservation. The political class in our country, do not share in a vision for a greater civilization. They create, loot, share, and move their monies outside the country to create their idea of an oasis of good living for their families. We often see their unaccomplished children living opulent lifestyles, showing off their mansions and expensive toys while a majority of our citizens, including and especially our farmers and their families languish in abject poverty as many of their children continue to school under trees, with no access to potable water nor adequate healthcare!

We can and must change that!

We need a paradigm shift informed by our greater sensibilities, knowing we have the power as a people not to entrust our future to the same corrupt, and inept political leadership which has failed us time and again, simply on the basis of party. It’s time to put country, and our collective interests first, by embracing change and advocate voting for Kennedy Agyepong.

The political class do not want change because they can’t afford change. It will disrupt everything they stand for. They need the nation to be stuck exactly where it is today so they may plunder away. We must stop them and voting for change is the only hope. It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a first step, and also that charity begins at home. The first step to positioning Ghana for transformational leadership is a vote for Hon Kennedy Agyapong, and it will also reflect a much needed house cleaning that will position the NPP as the more credible option going into 2024. Don’t blow it with a vote for Bawumia, Ghana will lose.

We have a generational fight in front of us. We can throw in the towel and forfeit the match; or engage purposefully and WIN by any means necessary. We must believe in what’s possible, and appreciate the fierce urgency of “NOW” to change our nation for better and abandon the narrative of corruption, abject poverty, and hopelessness! We are not a hopeless people, we can and must CHANGE!.

Our culture is endemic with corruption and that cancer eats at the heart of any meaningful development. Our youth must be trusted and empowered to explore their full potential to live a life of dignity and fulfillment. They must have access to employment. That is only possible if we proactively develop their capacity, and  implement policies to enhance entrepreneurship and empower the business community with an eye on creating a new and sustainable narrative of strong self rule, leadership and responsibility. Kennedy Agyapong can be trusted to do that. His fearlessness, drive, and passion for change are exactly what we need in our next leader to help champion a transformative agenda meaningfully. He has what it takes to unite Ghanaians of all stripes.

Thank you, and God bless you
