The Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Abdulai Abanga (MP), addressed the 2023 Africa Real Estate Conference and Expo today, at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
The event focused on the theme “Proptech and Sustainability – The Future of Real Estate,” reflecting on the critical role of these elements in shaping the real estate industry in Ghana and across Africa.
The conference which was organized by the Ghana Real Estate Professionals Association (GREPA), brought together industry leaders, policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders from various African countries. It aimed to foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation within the real estate sector.
In his address, Hon. Ababga highlighted the challenges Ghana faces, including rapid urbanization and climate change, emphasizing the need for sustainable real estate development.
He stressed the importance of green building practices, inclusive affordable housing, and the preservation of natural environments as key elements of sustainable development.
