The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has commissioned a 40-bed Ultra-Modern Hospital for the people of Aburi under the management of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
The Kom Presbyterian Hospital is designed with several departments including administration, outpatient and emergency, inpatient wards, obstetrics and gynaecology, pharmacy, diagnostic services, and logistics.

Hon Agyeman Manu, the Minister for Health who commissioned the Facility on behalf of the President revealed that the Hospital along with other facilities at Kibi, Atibie and Akuapem Mampong Were constructed by the Contracta Costruzioni Italia at a total cost of Forty Million Euros, (€40,000,000.00) and funded by a bank from Italy through the Ministry of Finance.




According to him, the project scope includes a one-year post-completion maintenance and training and therefore urged the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) to liaise with the contractor’s maintenance team to effectively maintain the hospital.
Otoobour Djan-Kwasi II. Aburihene and Adontenhene of Akuapem expressed his appreciation to the Government for showcasing its commitment to providing Universal health coverage in Ghana.
The event saw participants from the Clergy, Diplomatic cop, Traditional rulers, health workers and some members of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
