John Boadu, a former general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been named the State Interests and Governance Authority’s (SIGA) new acting director general.

A letter dated Monday, December 11, 2023, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante, announced Mr. John Boadu’s appointment.

Hollistar Duah-Yentumi, who has been serving in an acting capacity as director general since November 20, 2023, gives way to him.

At SIGA, Ms. Duah-Yentumi oversaw operations as General Manager from the organization’s founding in 2019.

“Pursuant to Section 17(2) of the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (Act 990), I am pleased to inform you that you have been appointed to act as the Director General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (the Authority) pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the Governing Board of the Authority given in consultation with the Public Services Commission,”
