Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the minister of information, is pushing the majority and minority caucuses to work closely together to develop a workable budget plan that will help the Ghanaian economy get back on track.

The Minister hinted in a post on Twitter that the government’s economic plan for the following year, which will be delivered to Parliament on Thursday, November 24, will focus on responsible economic policies that will help restart the economy and, as a result, require cooperation from both sides of the house.

“The basis of our recovery is intended to be the 2023 budget. To create a workable budget program, Majority and Minority will need to collaborate in the interest of the country, he tweeted.

The Minister gave some hints as to the main components of the budget, saying that they would be restoring macroeconomic stability, stopping the rise in living expenses, attaining modest growth, and finishing up current government projects across the nation.

According to him, the budget statement must be carefully drafted in order to gain the support of all societal groups because it is a requirement for achieving an International Monetary Fund (IMF) accord.
