The community of Dormaa Ahenkro is in shock over the untimely death of 19-year-old Abigail Kyeremaa, a student at Dormaa Senior High School, who died in horrific circumstances connected to an alleged abortion.
According to information compiled by DGN Online, on April 9, 2024, in the evening, Nana Atuoni Gyabaah and Kyeremaa Matilda, 40, who live in Jericho, a suburb of Dormaa Ahenkro, went to the Dormaa District Police station with a concerning story. Matilda communicated that earlier in the day, her daughter Abigail Kyeremaa had complained of excruciating stomach aches.
After being questioned, Abigail confessed that she was pregnant and that she had been given medication by a man named Philip Addae in an effort to end the pregnancy.
Even though Abigail Kyeremaa was sent to Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital immediately for emergency care, she sadly passed away soon after receiving treatment.
Philip Addae, the suspect, was arrested, warned, and placed under arrest while additional legal actions were taken.
The circumstances surrounding Abigail Kyeremaa’s tragic death are presently being actively investigated.
