A Chinese delegation visited the Ghana Export Promotion Authority to understand the export potential in furniture, animal feed, cassava to starch, and chili pepper, as well as investment opportunities in Ghana.

Mr. Samuel Dentu, DCEO of Operations and Finance, welcomed them and highlighted GEPA’s revitalization projects, which have significantly supported farmers and driven growth in the agricultural sector.

He also discussed the National Export Development Strategy, which has the target of USD25.3 billion by 2029. He mentioned that the strategy is built on three pillars, which are essential for ensuring market access and the overall growth of the export community.

Mr. Albert Kasim Diwura, DCEO in charge of Human Resources and Administration, highlighted that the GEPA Export School offers an excellent learning opportunity for anyone interested in the export industry.

He emphasized that the school provides comprehensive training and resources to help individuals understand and navigate the complexities of export trade, ultimately contributing to the development and success of Ghana’s export community.

The head of the Chinese delegation expressed gratitude for the insightful meeting, emphasizing their goal to meet local demands before expanding to the USA, EU, and other African markets. They sought support from GEPA and asked questions about how companies can benefit from GEPA’s services.
