The man who was found in possession of a weapon during the NPP-NDC Mamobi disturbance is arrested by police.

Police have arrested Fatawu Ibrahim, also known as Fatau Motorway, one of the suspects in the recent altercation between National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in Mamobi, Accra.

After the police declared him wanted last week and offered a GHS20,000 reward to anyone who could provide reliable information that would result in his capture, the arrest was made.

The suspect is in custody and will soon be arraigned in court, according to a police statement dated October 23.

“Suspect Fatawu Ibrahim was captured in a video footage with a gun during the disturbances in which two people were allegedly shot and injured. He is currently in Police custody and will be put before the court in due course.” statement read.
