Noella Wiyaala, known professionally as Wiyaala, is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter, actress, and activist.
She was born on December 22, 1986, in Funsi, a small village in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Wiyaala’s music is a blend of Afropop, traditional African music, and contemporary Western styles.

Growing up, Wiyaala was exposed to a wide range of music, including gospel, reggae, and traditional music from the Dagaare tribe. She started singing at a young age and joined a choir in her village. In 2011, Wiyaala auditioned for the third season of the reality TV show “Stars of the Future” and made it to the finals.
Wiyaala released her debut single, “Make Me Dance,” in 2013, and it quickly became a hit in Ghana.
