Mahama names the first group of regional ministers.

The nomination of ten regional ministers has been formally proposed by President John Dramani Mahama and approved by Parliament.

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has received a message from the presidency requesting that the nominations be verified and vetted.

An important step in the President’s attempts to improve governance and guarantee efficient administration throughout the regions is this.

Northern – Adolf John

Oti – John Kwadwo Gyapong

Volta – James Gunu

Eastern – Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjel Awatey

North-East – Ibrahim Tia

Ashanti – Dr. Frank Amoakohene

Upper East – Akamugri Donatus Atanga

Ahafo – Charity Gardiner

Savannah – Salisu Bi-Awuribe

Greater Accra – Linda Ocloo, MP

Bono, Bono East, and Central are the six remaining regions. Western, Western North, and Upper West comprise the rest.
