Omane Boamah is vetted by the Appointments Committee today.

Today, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, the Appointments Committee of Parliament will review five cabinet nominations as part of the approval process for important government appointments that President John Dramani Mahama has appointed.

Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, the Minister-designate for Defense, will lead the screening process, which is scheduled to start at 9:00 am.

At 11:00 am, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, MP, who has been elected as the Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives, will follow him.

Adjei Kenneth Gilbert, the Minister-designate for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, will address the committee at 1:00 pm.

Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, MP, will go through vetting for the Greater Accra Regional Minister post at 3:00 pm.

The vetting of Charity Gardiner, the Minister-designate for the Ahafo Region, will wrap up the day’s activities at 5:00 p.m.
