The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has advised the public to avoid a phony advertising that claims it is conducting a recruiting drive and is circulating on various social media.
GAF stated in a statement on April 3 that it is not actively hiring for the Forces.
“GAF wishes to further declare that it is not now conducting any recruitment or enlisting, and has not done so for the years 2023–2024.”
“The general public and those who are interested in joining the GAF should stick to the recognized and official channels, namely the national daily, that the GAF employs to announce recruitments and enlistment activities. GAF stated that (Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times).

It also showed that these people’s fraudulent activities are being monitored.
“GAF further states that such unscrupulous persons engaged in the fraudulent act are continuously being hunted down in coordination with other Security Services, and those arrested will be dealt with severely in accordance with the law,” it stated.
The GAF “is not conducting any 2023/2024 recruitment/enlistment activity at this material moment,” the statement emphasized.
Hence, it urged the populace to “take note and report any advertisement and anyone requesting funds for such exercises, to the nearest Military Base or Police Station.”
