President John Mahama has reiterated his administration’s dedication to bolstering the Ghana Military Academy (GMA) by means of enhanced facilities and academic progress.

The president presented a number of measures to improve military education and training in the nation during the 63rd Regular Course graduation ceremony.

For freshly commissioned officers, he announced plans to raise the Academy’s commissioning course to the level of a postgraduate diploma.

“This action is part of a larger plan to improve the quality and reputation of military training in Ghana,” he said.

President Mahama also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the creation of the National Defense University, a specialist school that will provide both military and civilians with important academic programs.

He underlined that the institution will be crucial to the advancement of higher education while fostering military doctrine and discipline in the classroom.

By incorporating military ideals into the larger educational framework, the President claims that these efforts will not only support the growth of the Ghana Armed Forces but also make a substantial contribution to national development.
