The leaders of the National Association of Aquaculture were invited to the office of Hon. Emelia Arthur, Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture.
The gathering gave the aquaculture industry a crucial forum for talking about its main operational issues, such as the high price of fish feed, the lack of managerial capabilities, and the requirement for technical training and fundamental knowledge of fish farming.
The Hon. Minister thanked the association for the visit and urged them to keep collaborating to find long-term answers to these problems.
She also alluded to plans to have a National Fisheries Sector Dialogue soon, which would serve as an inclusive venue to discuss important issues impacting both aquaculture and capture fisheries and to map out the sector’s future.
