Ernest Owusu Bempah, the Deputy Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been subject to disciplinary action for allegedly violating internal party directives through remarks he made on social media.

The NPP expressed concern about comments attributed to Mr. Bempah in a statement issued by the party’s general secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong. It is thought that these remarks violated a recent directive that asked all members to abstain from public remarks that could incite dissension within the party.

The order, which is referred to as NPP/HQ/PR/2025/03/DAM, is a component of the party’s larger initiatives to preserve discipline and internal unity throughout the campaign season.

“Following the directives issued to all members of the party to cease discussions on matters that create disaffection within the party in the media, Mr. Owusu Bempah has made several comments on social media that are suspected to be in contravention of those directives,” the statement read.

The NPP’s National Disciplinary Committee has been tasked with looking into this further and taking the necessary measures against Mr. Owusu Bempah.

The party’s leadership reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining discipline and unity while cautioning that any member who violates these standards would face consequences in line with party regulations.

In the upcoming weeks, the disciplinary process’s conclusion is anticipated.
