President John Dramani Mahama will give a thorough update on the status of his administration’s 120-day social compact in his speech to the nation today, May 7, 2025.

Minister of State for Government Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu said the special national broadcast will provide Ghanaians a chance to evaluate President Mahama’s performance and adherence to his campaign pledges.

President Mahama will discuss his 120-day action plan’s major accomplishments during the broadcast, such as the establishment of a more efficient government structure aimed at cutting back on tax spending.

The launch of the “Tree for Life” and “Blue Water” environmental initiatives, the organization of a National Economic Dialogue and an Education Dialogue, and the introduction of the “One Million Coders” program, which aims to improve digital skills and encourage youth employment, are other noteworthy initiatives.

President Mahama will also give updates on the Women’s Development Bank funding, the elimination of the E-Levy, Bet Tax, and Emissions Levy, and the creation of the Mahama Cares Health Fund.

President Mahama will also highlight his dedication to accountability and openness by providing additional information about the Code of Conduct for all government appointees.

“On Wednesday, the President will hold a broadcast in which he will render account for his stewardship in the last four months, or 120 days,” Kwakye Ofosu said, highlighting the importance of the program.

“Therefore, I will urge Ghanaians to tune in and listen to the President so that they can draw their own conclusions as to the level of compliance with the very promises that the President made to the people of Ghana,” he added.
