Paul Adom-Otchere, the former board chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited, and two other individuals have been examined and formally charged by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

But Mr. Adom-Otchere hasn’t been able to fulfill his bail requirements thus far.

He must show two landed properties that are registered in his name but have no particular worth. He has, however, told the OSP that he is not the owner of any landed property in Ghana.

He is therefore detained until the conditions of his bail are met.

The two other persons are Otchere Kwame Baffour Awuah, Group Executive, Commercial Services, GACL and Albert Adjetey Adjei-Laryea, CEO of Devnest Systems.

A revenue assurance contract between the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) and a private company owned by the owner of Strategic Mobilization Ghana Ltd (SML) is the subject of an investigation into Mr. Adom-Otchere.

A sole-sourced contract given to a business other than the one authorized by the GACL Board is one of the potential procurement violations that the OSP is looking into.
