At Bono Manso in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region, three people perished from fire injuries.
The mishap occurred on May 19, 2023, a Friday.
A trailer vehicle with the license plate number AS 4766 from Accra traveling northward with several cans and bottles of Malta Guinness products was involved in the collision as well as a Kia Granbird bus with the registration number AK 285-22 from the North carrying an unknown number of passengers.
According to DOIII Henry Eshun, the commander of the Techiman Municipal Fire Service, 3 people died from burn injuries, while 23 others suffered injuries of varying severity.
He said, “11 of the injured are receiving treatment at Techiman Holy Family Hospital, and 12 are receiving treatment at Kintampo Municipal Hospital.”
Investigations to determine the cause of the accident are still ongoing, according to DOIII Henry Eshun.
