The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry received a courtesy call from H.E. Hiroshi Yoshimoto, the Japanese ambassador to Ghana, in advance of the Ghana–Japan Business and Investment Forum, which is set for January 15, 2026.

The tour is part of the preparations for a 40-person Japanese business delegation that is scheduled to arrive next Wednesday, January 14, through Friday, January 16, 2026.

The purpose of the meeting, which took place on January 7, 2025, at the Ministry’s Conference Room in Accra, was to evaluate Ghana’s preparedness for the high-level delegation.

Key areas of collaboration and the institutional procedures needed to guarantee a successful forum and fruitful interactions during the visit were also discussed.

On behalf of the Sector Minister, Mr. Noah Tumfo, the Chief Director of the Ministry, greeted the Ambassador and informed him that the Ministry was prepared to work with their Japanese counterpart to ensure a successful visit.

The Japanese delegation is anticipated to take part in bilateral discussions with important Ghanaian economic sectors, such as commerce, agribusiness, transportation, energy, logistics, and communications, in addition to the Business and Investment Forum.

The engagements are intended to explore new investment and cooperation opportunities as well as strengthen Ghana’s economic relationships with Japan.
