Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus), the MP for Gomoa Central, has stated that he will do all in his power to inform the public about the person he believes was responsible for the death of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale.
Kwame A-Plus claims that he informed the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) about Suale’s murder in 2024.
The socio-political analyst claimed to have identified a senior minister from the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) government who was reportedly engaged in hiring Suale’s murders during the meeting at the CID headquarters.
On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, A-Plus made the announcement on his Facebook timeline, emphasizing that he anticipated the CID director to provide the public with an update on the status of the police investigation into Suale’s death.
He threatened to summon the George Akuffo Dampare-led police force to parliament for a formal briefing on the issue if no such information was received from the police within two days.
If that fails, A-Plus stated that he will use his social media accounts to reveal the identity of the person he was led to believe was responsible for the journalist’s death in 2019.
