The National Democratic Congress (NDC) party school would be dispersed across the various regions to teach and reorient branch and constituency executives on the principles and background of the party, according to a plan unveiled by former president John Dramani Mahama.
It is not enough to claim you are an NDC executive, Mr. Mahama remarked on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, during a campaign rally in Suhum, in the Eastern Region. You need to be aware of the party’s principles.
According to Mr. Mahama, the NDC’s 2024 campaign will be centered on the party’s branch executives across the nation, thus it is essential that they have both the resources and the ongoing training they need to run a successful campaign.
“We will, therefore, send all branch and constituency executives to the party school to learn about the party, our ideology, its origins, Jerry Rawlings and about the Revolution, and the party constitution.”
The NDC’s policies, executive functions, campaigning, voter mobilization, and canvassing would all be covered in the training, Mr. Mahama said, adding that the objective is to decentralize the party school’s activities into the several regions.
The former president is touring the Eastern Region for three days as part of his campaign.
In this stage of the campaign, the ‘Building the Ghana we want Together’ tour is stopping in 31 of the 33 constituencies in the area.
He has made trips to seven other regions, and the party’s delegates to the May 13, 2023, presidential primaries are predicted to give him a resounding endorsement.
