In connection with a violent land dispute that left one person dead and several others injured in Gomoa Akramang in the Central Region on November 8, 2022, the police detained four individuals.
The deceased and other people were being worked on a disputed piece of land when they were attacked by the four accused, Sumaila Ibrahim, Agbenyegah Kusavi, Kwame Nyarko, and Samuel Eson, along with a gang from Gomoa Akramang.
While the deceased’s body is being stored at the Police Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy, the injured victims are currently receiving medical care.
One pump-action gun, cutlasses, two live BB cartridges, and three spent BB cartridges were found on the suspects.
The accused were brought before the Awutu Breku District Magistrate Court on November 10, 2022, and were remanded into police custody with a court date of November 24 set for their next appearance.
