The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 flagbearer and former vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has evaluated the party’s track record in government, recognizing both its achievements and its failures.
Speaking as part of the NPP’s continuing Thank You Tour, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged that not all of the party’s objectives had been entirely achieved while applauding the accomplishments made during its rule. He said bluntly, “We had a solid record of achievements, but not everything went right,”
Speaking to a crowd of supporters, Dr. Bawumia outlined several significant achievements, such as improvements in infrastructure, economic reforms, and digitization.

“The evidence of our progress can be seen in every sector of the economy,” he said, expressing pleasure in the work the NPP has done to improve the lives of Ghanaians.
He did, however, also note that despite their best efforts, some goals went unfulfilled due to the realities of administration.
“We are not perfect, and no government is,” Dr Bawumia said to the crowd.
“We learned valuable lessons and are better prepared for the future,” he added
He emphasized that the rate of growth had been impacted by issues like the COVID-19 pandemic and demands from the global economy.
He did, however, reassure party loyalists that the NPP’s dedication to innovation and service would not change.
