Yesterday, Saturday evening, July 6, 2024, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Ghanaian legend Asamoah “Baby Jet” Gyan attended the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to officially open the All-Regional Games 2024.
Dr. Bawumia said that this championship, which is being held in a number of sports disciplines and was organized by Asamoah Gyan in association with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, represents a critical turning point in the national drive to resurrect grassroots sports in all 16 regions.
According to him, sports have always served as a unifying factor that bridges divides and brings people together.
“Sports have always been a unifying force, transcending barriers and bringing people together. Together, we can harness the power of sports to build a stronger, more united Ghana.
