On Wednesday yesterday, nine kids drowned at Faanaa, a neighborhood in Greater Accra’s Bortianor district.
On Wednesday afternoon, they allegedly drowned while route home from school. They lost control of the boat they were trying to cross the river.
There were a total of 12 individuals on the boat at the time of the tragedy, including the boat owner. To their safety, three people were able to swim.
One youngster was initially missing, and the body was discovered on Thursday morning after a search.
